The FIRE-EYE by SYN-FAB® is a high temperature CCTV system for monitoring the inside of boilers, furnaces, and other processes. The areas of interest are typically too hot, dirty, hazardous, or impractical to inspect in person or with conventional camera systems. The FIRE-EYE can be configured for portable use or permanent installations. The inclusion of a high resolution color TFT monitor directly in the backplate is a very useful feature. The FIRE-EYE can also be a cost effective replacement for conventional high temperature camera systems utilizing all existing installation hardware and utilities.

Each FIRE-EYE utilizes a state-of-the-art micro-camera/lens assembly mounted in a small (1.5" diameter) stainless steel* and Teflon enclosure. The system can be purged by compressed air, nitrogen or other gaseous cooling medium to monitor processes with temperatures of up to 3500° F. The design of this system eliminates the use of conventional multi-piece furnace lenses in many applications. This small diameter assembly is available in lengths from 12 inches to 6 feet and can be inserted horizontally or vertically into a vessel of interest so the process can be viewed on the built-in color CCTV monitor. A video output is also provided for viewing on a remote external monitor or recording on a standard VCR, DVD, or processor.

The FIRE-EYE is available with visible light cameras (color or monochrome) as well as an infrared imager for use in areas that are too dark to see with the naked eye. Straight ahead, 45° obtuse, and 90° right angle directions of view are available. The unit will operate several hours with a battery or indefinitely with the external power supply.
